The Public Interest Law Foundation
The Public Interest Law Foundation is a student-run organization at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Members include law students, faculty, alumni/ae, and friends that support and promote the practice of public interest law. PILF's annual fundraising directly supports summer grants for law students who choose unpaid, full-time summer positions at local, national, and international public interest/public sector agencies, organizations, and firms. Our grant awards assist those who have a demonstrated commitment to public interest/public sector law.
Our primary fundraising event, the Gala Auction & Award Ceremony, is one of the largest events at the USF School of Law that brings together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members to raise money for PILF's grant initiatives. The PILF Auction features items, events, and services donated by local and national businesses, the USF School of Law community, and local law firms for our special event. With a silent auction, very lively live auction conducted by alumnus Richard Pio Roda, hors d'oeuvres, open bar, and band, the Auction is a great time for all!
The 2006 Auction was a great success! Thank you to all of the attendees and supporters!
